The GVP-Prof. V. Lakshmikantham Institute for Advanced Studies is the brain child of Prof. V. Lakshmikantham and the management of Gayatri Vidya Parishad to develop an international research center for non-linear studies, including mathematical sciences which will generate original research work coupled with scholarly activity.

The GVP College of Engineering, Degree and Post Graduate courses and Engineering for women are establishing and emerging as centers of excellence under the aegis of Gayatri Vidya Parishad, an educational trust comprising of renowned academicians and philanthropists of Visakhapatnam.

IFNA was established on August 12th, 1991, as a transdisciplinary world society. The vision of IFNA ia to bring together various disciplines that attempt to understand nonlinear phenomena and solve nonlinear problems; and to help minimize the ever widening gap between the developed and developing countries by providing scientific and technical research assistance in various forms.

The Conference Organizing Committee (COC), is working with the guidance of Professor V. Lakshmikantham, Head of Department Mathematical Sciences, Florida Institute of Technology, U.S.A and the President of IFNA.
